The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international organizat

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international organization that promotes public-private cooperation (collaboration between governments and businesses).

Key Information:

• Founded: Established in 1971 by Klaus Schwab in Switzerland.

• Main Event: Every January, WEF hosts its Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Political leaders, CEOs, billionaires, media figures, and activists from around the world attend.

• In 2026: The theme was “A Spirit of Dialogue.” Around 3,000 leaders attended, including Ursula von der Leyen, Emmanuel Macron, Chinese leaders, and others.

Current Leadership (June 2026):

• Klaus Schwab stepped down as Chairman in 2025.

• Børge Brende (President and CEO) resigned in February 2026 following controversy related to the Jeffrey Epstein files.

• Current leadership:

* Co-Chairs: Larry Fink (BlackRock CEO) and André Hoffmann
* President and CEO: Alois Zwinggi

What does WEF do?

• Produces reports and hosts discussions on global issues such as climate change, AI, the economy, inequality, and more.

• Promotes the idea of Stakeholder Capitalism — the view that companies should serve not only shareholders, but also society and the environment.

• Runs the Young Global Leaders program, which has included figures such as Jacinda Ardern and others.

Famous people linked to WEF in relation to the Epstein files — according to available information:

Note: Appearing in the Epstein files does not mean someone committed a crime. Most individuals have stated that they were unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities, especially sex trafficking. In many cases these were networking or business-related contacts.

Main direct WEF connection:

1. Børge Brende (WEF President and CEO)

• Had three business dinners with Epstein in 2018–2019, including one at Epstein’s New York residence.

• Exchanged more than 120 emails and text messages.

• Appeared in a photograph with Steve Bannon and Terje Rød-Larsen at Epstein’s residence.

• Resigned on February 26, 2026 after the controversy; WEF initiated an investigation.

Other notable names connected through Davos/WEF networking:

Epstein reportedly used Davos as a kind of “concierge” network for facilitating meetings. Many people either met at Davos events or had indirect connections through Epstein.

• Bill Gates — frequent Davos attendee; had meetings and emails with Epstein.

• Larry Summers — former Harvard President and regular Davos participant.

• Boris Nikolic — biotech investor and Davos attendee who reportedly shared Davos updates with Epstein.

• Other elite figures associated with the Davos/WEF circle: Peter Thiel, Elon Musk (emails), and others, though not as direct WEF leadership members.

Within WEF leadership, Brende was the most prominent case that led to a resignation.

No direct meetings between Klaus Schwab (founder) and Epstein have appeared in released files.

Conclusion:

Epstein built a network of influential people, and events like WEF/Davos may have provided opportunities for networking. However, claims portraying the entire WEF as a “cult” or broad conspiracy are considered exaggerated. Most known connections appear to have been social or business-related.
