Spain’s royal history includes both modern and historic princesses who have played important roles in shaping the nation and even European history. Today, the current heir to the Spanish throne is Leonor, Princess of Asturias, 💞the eldest daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia; as Princess of Asturias, she is preparing to become the future Queen of Spain, while her younger sister, Infanta Sofia of Spain, stands second in line to the throne.
