n to Nick Bostrom outline his view that AI has near-term benefits but extreme long-term risks: It could destroy humanity as we know it. Nick sees a fast-approaching transition to an era of machine intelligence that will amplify human abilities in most fields.
But in the long run, Nick believes, the development of human-level artificial general intelligence and superintelligence could bend the trajectory of life and might be the last invention we ever make.
