Deepfake adult and misleading digital content has become a serious mental, social, and ethical challenge in today’s society. Major technology companies such as Meta, Google, and X (formerly Twitter) have also faced scrutiny regarding the spread of AI-generated content on their platforms. Across many websites and social media networks, AI-powered deepfake images and videos — including illegal adult material — are spreading rapidly.

Although technology itself is neutral, its misuse can seriously damage a person’s reputation, privacy, and mental well-being. Fake videos, morphed images, and misleading articles create confusion, distrust, anxiety, depression, and social isolation. Continuous exposure to sensational and deceptive content can also lead to digital addiction, affecting concentration, relationships, and overall productivity.

Therefore, it is essential that technology companies adopt responsible innovation practices and develop strong detection and removal systems. Governments must implement clear and strict laws to address misuse. At the same time, society should promote digital literacy so that individuals can better distinguish between authentic and manipulated content. On a personal level, practicing digital discipline, limiting screen time, and maintaining awareness of mental health are crucial steps. Only through combined efforts at the individual, corporate, and governmental levels can we build a healthier, more balanced, and trustworthy digital environment.
