Can Robots Outrun and Outjump Humans?
Can a robot really run faster and jump higher than a human? This one can.
Chinese robotics company Unitree has unveiled its new “Superman” robot, showcasing remarkable speed and jumping ability.
The robot can reportedly jump about 2 meters from a standing start and reach a top speed of 12.66 meters per second (around 45.6 km/h)—surpassing the corresponding human records for standing high jump and running speed.
What makes it even more impressive is that the robot has been in development for just over three months. Unitree says there is still significant room for further improvement.
If its development continues at this pace, robots like this could soon push the limits of what we thought machines were physically capable of.
