A black hole forms when a very massive star runs out of fuel and its own gravity causes it to collapse inward.

In simple terms:

1. ⭐ A very massive star forms — Nuclear fusion takes place in its core, producing energy and pressure.
2. 🔥 The fuel begins to run out — The outward pressure produced by fusion decreases.
3. 💥 A supernova may occur — The star’s outer layers can be expelled in a powerful explosion.
4. 🌀 The core collapses — If the remaining core is massive enough, gravity continues to compress it.
5. ⚫ A black hole can form — The mass becomes concentrated within an extremely small region, creating a boundary called the event horizon. Beyond the event horizon, not even light can escape.

Note: Not every massive star becomes a black hole. Some stellar remnants become neutron stars instead. Also, supermassive black holes, found at the centers of galaxies, form through different and more complex processes.
