A 34-year-old technology professional from Bengaluru recently took his own life, leaving behind a poignant 24-page letter in which he attributed blame to his wife and her family for ongoing harassment.
Despite already receiving ₹40,000 in maintenance, she allegedly sought additional funds and callously suggested that he should take his own life. He also recounted an incident where a court judge appeared to mock his predicament.
This situation is profoundly tragic and serves as a stark reminder that no individual should be subjected to such inhumanity, irrespective of their gender.
Consequences should be uniformly applied to anyone who perpetrates such harm. It is my hope that we will see a shift towards greater accountability for these actions, regardless of gender.
