Victoria’s Secret’s Former Owner Leslie Wexner Named Over 1,300 Times in DOJ’s Post-2008 Epstein Files
One of the biggest names in American retail is once again under public scrutiny. Leslie Wexner, the billionaire businessman who purchased Victoria’s Secret from founder Roy Raymond in 1982, has resurfaced in headlines following renewed attention to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Jeffrey Epstein files.
According to recent reports, Leslie Wexner’s name appears more than 1,300 times in DOJ materials dated after 2008. These references reportedly span emails, investigative records, interview transcripts, court documents, and other materials contained in the DOJ’s Epstein Library.
From Roy Raymond to a Global Fashion Empire
Roy Raymond founded Victoria’s Secret in 1977 with the goal of creating a more comfortable shopping experience for lingerie customers. In 1982, facing business challenges, he sold the company to Leslie Wexner for approximately $1 million.
Under Wexner’s leadership, Victoria’s Secret expanded into one of the world’s most recognizable lingerie and fashion brands, generating billions of dollars in annual revenue over the following decades.
Why Is Wexner’s Name in the Epstein Files?
Public records show that Jeffrey Epstein served as Leslie Wexner’s financial adviser for many years. At one point, Epstein was also granted power of attorney over some of Wexner’s affairs. Their professional relationship lasted for years before Wexner says he severed all ties with Epstein in 2007.
Since Epstein’s criminal investigations and subsequent document releases, Wexner’s name has repeatedly appeared because of that long-standing association.
What Does “1,300 Mentions” Actually Mean?
The reported figure of more than 1,300 mentions does not mean there are 1,300 accusations or criminal allegations against Wexner.
The references reportedly include correspondence, investigative materials, witness interviews, legal filings, and other records in which his name appears because of his historical relationship with Epstein.
