Fritz Haber (1868–1934) was a German chemist known for one of the most important scientific breakthroughs of the 20th century. His life is remembered as both highly influential and deeply controversial.

🔬 Major Contribution – The Haber–Bosch Process
Haber developed a method to produce ammonia (NH₃) from nitrogen and hydrogen. Later, Carl Bosch scaled it up for industrial use. This became known as the Haber–Bosch Process.
Why it matters:

• Greatly increased global food production
• Today, nearly half of the world’s population depends on food grown using this technology
