The RoboTitan was a towering humanoid robot showcased at Expo 2020 Dubai, standing at around 3 meters (10 feet) tall, and was created by the British robotics company Engineered Arts, well known for developing expressive humanoid robots. Designed as a larger counterpart to their famous robot Ameca, RoboTitan featured an ultra-realistic human-like head, advanced facial expressions, smooth arm and hand movements, and the ability to speak and interact with visitors in real time. Rather than being built for physical labor or combat, RoboTitan’s purpose was to demonstrate the future of human–robot interaction, artificial intelligence, and social robotics, sparking conversations about how humans might coexist with intelligent machines. Displayed prominently at the UK Pavilion, the robot quickly became one of the Expo’s most iconic attractions, drawing crowds due to its imposing size, lifelike presence, and slightly uncanny ability to make eye contact, gesture naturally, and respond conversationally, symbolizing both the promise and the curiosity surrounding advanced AI-driven robotics.
