The Uttar Pradesh government has presented a budget of about ₹8.10 lakh crore for the financial year 2025-26. Following are the main points of this budget:
Women empowerment: Eligible women will be provided financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month, which will increase their economic independence.
Senior citizen pension: There is a proposal to increase the pension of senior citizens, although the new amount has not been announced yet.
Health sector: Significant funds have been allocated for the development of infrastructure in hospitals and improvement of health services.
